Great job on this Olerud. I bumped it the other afternoon at work and before I knew it the clock struck 5 and I was out the door. I'm about to put it on again... hopefully it'll have the same effect.

Yo I have been in the mountains for a minute, good to hear more of you are feelin my tape!!!

Drewzle - good to know the bass lines fit. My ear is only somewhat trained so I never know 100% if my bass lines are on point.

Fauna - I use the 303. Then I use GarageBand to record, sequence, and I even use some of the synths and effects as well. For example, on "3rd or 4th Time" the melody is a sped up violin sample run thru the "Arena Lead" guitar effect on GarageBand. Haha, who knew! For those of you with Macs, don't sleep on this simple, effective, fun, and free piece of software.

I'm pissed I didn't do anything for the SP Forums tape, guess I will have to jump on the next one.

"Macs, don't sleep on this simple, effective, fun, and free piece of software"

very, very true. Even the synths in garage band are AMAZING - blow the shit out of cough..cough..cough..ABLETON (no offense to those who use it, great program.... but pretty weak synths) ..but that's just my opinion.

My mac actually came with the lowest level of Logic - Logic Express 8 - and i couldn't be happier. if you torrnet, - i know where there is a PERFECT download - no flaws and a unlock key. ... sorry i'm ranting - i'm working on the DL right now.

Oh snap... I'm gonna look for that Logic Express download (or you could PM me the link if you feel so moved  ). I agree on the topic of GB. It's actually built using the same architecture/technology as Logic... just limited features. I was just talking to someone I work with about this... definitely a great app, and awesome that apple includes it with the OS.

This beat tape is dope Olerud... I've been bumpin the shit out of lately. Lookin forward to the next one man. 8)

SUP EVERYONE! I still have my 303. My toddler plays with it more than I do. But I'm going to get back on the saddle in 2017. Cool to see a lot of the old heads still on here!
