Connecting Alesis SR-16 to sp-555

I am trying to connect my Alesis SR-16 drum machine to my Sp-555 without losing any sound quality. The drum machine has two dual 1/4 outputs. Should I get a monster dual 1/4 to RCA cable for the best sound?
it has two aux 1/4 outs and two 1/4 (main left, main right) outputs. What configuration would be best?

the difference is THEY BREAK. everything from radioshack is crappy. monster cables from daddy's junky music can be returned for new ones if they break, for free. its worth the money.

my sr-16 bpm DOES NOT sync up with any of my other equipment. i choose the same bpm, but it always loses time. wtf.
i use two a dual monster cable rca set up. it works fine

Yeah, don't know. I think those things arent the most reliable. I have a programmed beat on a pad that sometimes just stops playing for no reason and other times works fine.

This might be something you already know, but sync comes into play with midi not audio cables. Typically, the one sending midi out (master) will set the clock for the one receiving midi (slave). there should be a mention of how to set this on the sr-16 to send midi clock (i assume it has midi out).

i don't enjoy using midi... i mean like this
sp-404 is playing at 120 bpm. my micron piano is patterned at 120 so when i start a pattern, on the beginning of a loop on my 404 it is in the same tempo. every thing should have a consistent bpm since ther should only be 120 beats in one minute, you cannot divide one minute into more/ less than 120 beats. so when i start my sr16 up at the same moment, it should be in tempo with the other equip. this is how i work, every piece of equipment i have syncs up EXCEPT the drum machine. its painful. i cannot make patterns on my sr16 match up the way i work... even tho all bpms should essentially be the same.

because the machines timing is so strict, minute differences in timing can cause a gradual shift over time.

I haven't read up on the sr-16, but there may be some slight timing jitter at fault.

you can midi chain all your devices together, press play on one and all will start playing using the masters clock so all will be in sync. Unfortunately the 404 only has midi in, so it has to be a slave.
