sp-303/sp-404 rec modes

hi, i thought i read in the manual you can play while recording without recording. i think it was called rehearsal mode, anyways... i cant find it now and was wonderin if anyone here could tell me how,

After recording a loop or whatever, hit the rec button and it should start blinking. Now anything you press will not be recorded, hence in rehearsal. Good Luck
