tape scratching .

Post by tape smoke »

oh shit this is so dope. i use a lil sony tape recorder. and when the batteries are dying i can rewind a tad and catch words and scratch them , and use the ext source on my 404 as a mixer. sooooo dope, sounds like real scratching, and i can scratch whaever the hell I want, actually it sounds better then scratching, adds like a wobbly warm soundto it i never heard from vynil scratching before. Im going to put some battle records on a tape and practice, maybe i'll whip something up on the 4 track to show you guys, im so stoked. oh yea you can use slicer, fx 17 on 404. and it will auto cut for you if your to lazy to use ext source.

Thanks man! This is crazy!!!

I don´t really understand why you only can scratch when your batteries are dying??? Shouldn´t it work with any tapedeck, even with a walkman???

Man, I wish I had a tapedeck right now to try it...damn :(

i get cheap walkmens at the goodwill. if you hold the play button down and then force it to rewind/fast forward you can record the squealing noise it makes. also one time (really need to try it again) i cut the tape inside a cassette and let it hang outside the player. i forced it to stay paused with the play button down so as i dragged the tape slowly it plays back the music but at the speed you remove it at
