Recording FX Performance

is it possible to record fx (and also their perfomance)during pattern recordings (or song recording)?

nah u gotta resample the pad with the mfx... then record that pad

This is what i do i resample the mfx i want through the whole entire track then use a software program and when im recording the track from my sp to software i choose the mfx i want to do performance on and turn the mfx on and off and twist the knobs and such while im recording into the software and thats how i get around that

Example would be my SPonage beat i thinks its on the drop IO page or in the music video on the myspace but i did the delay mfx as descirbed above
