loops and sequences

Hey everybody,
i just got a 404 after my 303 basically died. My problem is I cannot loop other samples while a sequence is playing. actually, the samples will usually cut off when the pattern goes back to 1. is that normal? I dont remember the 303 doing that.

Very simple: turn your loop of. A looping sound does 99.9% of the time not belong in a pattern, upon the loop of the pattern a looping sound gets turned off just like you stop a looping sound by pressing it button again, this is what happens in your pattern.

ah. i never realized that about the polyphony. is it only 6 pads at a time?

The loop problem you describe however does not seem linked to a polyphony problem.

turn off the sample loop function and keep pressed the pad, while the pattern sequence plays. i tried this with success.
