Update not working

Hey guys, thanks for the quantize tips, however, now I have another problem - The OS update doesnt work for me...

I have version 1.05 on my 404, and I'm trying to install OS 1.04. I want to see if re-installing the OS (albeit an older one) will solve my quantize issues.

I've copied the .BIN file into both my root folder AND the Roland folder on my CF card (the card works, by the way). The ReadMe says the update will start automatically as soon as you turn the machine on with the CF card plugged in, but nothing happens. Help?

If I remember correctly the update does not work if u use a Mac to put the files on the card.

Does the card work with the sampler normally or have you not tried that yet?

Perhaps you can not downgrade your os. Just a thought

The card normally works. I guess I cant downgrade then?
