I want some nice vintage gear now, but I can't afford it. Oh well, the SP-303/404 will probably be a future classic due to it's cult like following.

yeah that´s what I´m thinking too. I bet these machines will be even more expensive in about 10 years ... like double price. guess I´m gonna buy like some 10 to 20 SP´s and in 20 years I´m gonna be a rich motha´f**ker.

Yeah, if someone stocked up on sp-1200, MPC 3000, or TR-808/909's they wouldn't have to worry about the market collapse here in America.

Yeah already took a peek at em...the only thing that disturbs me about them...there are not enuff knobs
was looking at the Jomox AirBase99 on that reply....now I just saw the Xbase09 and I think...no, I know that it´ll probably be that 1

If you are looking for a vintage sound like TR909 try to find Akai XR-10
...it will be probably even harder to find than to score a TR909 under a 1000.
I was lucky to get one dirt cheap from a guy from Eschweiler :)

Last year Akai lounched new drumcomputer ...XR-20... chack that out!

i've had his one from ebay very cheaply. the main part is hip hop oriented drums but very editable so you can do also d'n'b, house and 2step easly. there are also some cool basses and 2 or 3 discreet synths.

I'll flip that sample, it's the sound of the universe. I meditate to re-align my frequencies every day.

read all about it on the i-net but the beats are for my hobby/work a bit too oldschool.

if someone is looking for a XR-10, just saw 1 dead cheap on german ebay ----> http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0393475352

They go cheap, at least my was... but sound is good, kinda Italo-disco.
This thing is almost dead without manual... I had to buy it from US when I saw one on ebay.
