Whats a good cheap turntable to hookup to my sp?? 1200's are too expensive

You can't cut without a mixer :lol:

I'd recommend a American Audio Q-D5 MKII.
You can get it cheap and it has a marvelous x-fader for scratching.

Just remember you can't hook up a regular turntable with Phono output straight to SP .. or you can but the sound is not right.

Some turntables have line out or phones out though.

Yeah, but scratching on the PT-01 is very difficult. I'd go for one of the cheaper direct drive turntables instead if you're thinking about doing some serious scratching.

Or... buy a PT-01 and use something else to get your scratches, i.e. software or one of those more fancy CD players.

I got a stanton t60 a couple weeks ago for pretty cheap... I'm very happy with it... Mind you ive never touched a tec 12... but yeah scratching on the stanton is no problem

Gemini tt04 is the best turntable for a beginner, and cheap. Numark TT500 or TT200 is fine, too.

Yeah, I am about to buy one, probably next month or so. 5.1Kg torque is awesome, price is awesome, build quality mediocre, but good enough for me. Ah, and you can scratch with it as well.

If you want a good turntable, just to play records for you, go n get it! it has pre amp, line in, line out and other things you need

if you are just using it for listening and sampling get any one with pitch control, belt drives are fine. If you want to DJ get direct drives, dont waste money on belts because you will upgrade later.
