Madlib's Beat Konducta Vol. 5-6

Post by Rob P »

I actually copped the cd for 10$!! If all cd's were that price,I'd buy a lot more of them...lol

It's absolutely dope and I recommend it to all Madlib's fans on this forum :)

i got em as soon as they were droppin digitally, and now that i have had em for a few months and they have become regulars in my ever growing group of listenings and they aren't brand new and foreign to me, i've grown to like em even more, i've been going through 5 inparticular non stop, at least a few times a week.....i love all the sides of madlib stuff, but these are the kinda beats that got me into madlib, i seriously can't say anything about these albums that do them justice, go get them immediately

Didn't know these were on disc yet, gotta cop! Sounds definately better than king of the wigflip, which I found disappointing. I could hardly stand to listen to the beats for all the awful rapping. Vols 1 & 2 I loved. 3 & 4 were good too but to be honest I thought the Oxperiment was better.

I really slept on the Beat Konducta series before and I have to revisit all of them now

Yeah King of the Wigflip had some uninspired raps and I didn't feel it that much but who knows,I might appreciate it more...

Wigflip was a letdown, but I love that uptempo Defari track.

I recently passed on an opp to get em on vinyl when I was visiting amoeba up in the Bay... budgetary reasons. I had already depleted my alloted vinyl fund.

Just got 5 tho on digi... feelin it. I'm gonna get 6 in a week or two... from the tracks I previewed I think that side might be a little stronger than 5. Anyone like 1 of em more than the other? or do you feel they are on par, just different?

I like 5 better than 6, but lifeline(lifetime) on 6 is one of his best ever. He did a really good job of imitating Dilla's beats for this tribute, I think it's his best Beat Konducta yet.
