2 new beats (i'm still a newb so gimme some feedback plz)
PEACE everyone
i took about a month off from the SP after coppin it cuz i got so discouraged that i suck and i'll never be able to make something that sounds like a beat....i posted a couple pretty crappy attempts on here a little while ago...
but now last night i had an SP guru givin me tips and getting me all into it so i went ahead and put together a couple beats, please check it (they're both in one file) and lemme know what u think:

with both of them i made a pattern and then played most of the sounds live over it...

PEACE thank u for the responses, i appreciate it very much....keep em comin
i haven't come across any bassline samples, i'm actually wonderin how exactly to do that and get it to sound nice with the beat..
@ the dude who asked for tips: basically, what pissed me off the most and what discouraged me the most is the whole thing with the BPMs..its tough at first to try to get everything to come together and match coherently..

Nice horns man, very nice sounds like madlib, with the cuting vocals off and such, you should participate in our battles, it is just for fun, but it is good practice and makes me more motivated, you have a week to finish, so thats cool. " Slow down for a second..." ha ha DOPE!! Is this on a 303, 404...?
you ever seen "SCRATCH" your track reminded me of the part "scratchin scratchin what is it?" keep this up.

thank u
yeah man try throwing some original bass on and my only tip is try giving the drums a lil more swing so it doesn't sound so forced
not sure what u mean by 'swing', like don't have so much empty space between each hit?

thanks for the feedback, it's a 404 that i have...i will definitely get into this beat battle thing i could definitely use it and benefit from that---honestly, these are the first and second beats i've come up with on this thing, and never messed with any other prod equip prior to this..
never saw "SCRATCH" either..
