Can't format CF card? HELP!

Hey all,

Just got a 404 and a Sandisk Extreme III 2GB CF card (both brand new, out of the box). According to the manual, I stick it in while the 404 is off, turn it on, and then press REMAIN+CANCEL. My 404, however, doesn't flash "fmt" and none of the extra banks blink.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any tips or suggestions? I'm pretty sure this card is one that is supposed to be compatible with the 404.

im not shure but maybe its the card. try getting a 1 gb sandisk .

Hm Keesj mentioned the 2G card as being compatible though, dunno where he got the info frm.
