In general I'd say yes to a little bit higher temperatures, living in the "always mediocre weather" Netherlands, but the downside is the fact that it'll cause greater contrasts between summer and winter in most areas on this planet.
Trust me, we don't really want that.
Ah, by the way global warming is not a hoax, but depending on how far back we look at this planet's climate history... it's not necessarily a truly earth devastating thing at all. There have been bigger chances before.
Of course the real fear is that it's somehow irreversible this time around.

like Peter has written...sure we (mankind) are not all of guilt because it has alot to do with the tilt of our planet and so on. For further information: http://www.channel4.com/science/microsi ... index.html
That ofcourse doesn´t mean we´re free to pump more tons of carbondioxide into the air.

I thought global warming lead to more extreme weather on both ends of the spectrum, not just warmer year round... but like, more erratic. Anyways, I think it's real. People are parasites on this planet, at least as far as most "modern" cultures are concerned. All we do is consume resources and leave sky-high piles of garbage in our wake.

Yup, that's correct.
It seems we're pretty good at polluting our planet, I'm sure we have a non-negligible share in the overall change of climate.
