Mono/Stereo

Post by CamiloM »

Do you usually sample in mono or in stereo?
Do you follow some kind of rule like drums/mono, bass/mono, strings/stereo?

it really varies... sometimes ill get a snare in stereo if i "hear" other shyt in it. kicks not so much as far as the main sample goes again it really really depends. plus some machines have diff voice values like my 606 8voices or 404 12voices. kinda hard to say

I used to only sample in mono whenever I ran out of voices with the 555 and 606...

With my 606 and it's limited polyphony I usually go mono.
Overall when I'm multitracking I usually end up with my kick drum & bass ending up mono in the mix 95% of the time.

Yeah, it's really horrible, especially because some of those fires weren't natural, but caused by voluntary firemen or something. How insane is that... like they said on the news, that's practically causing 'mass murder'.

koalas never drink water like that or at least that's what the wifey was tellin' me. she made me watch the video and it was a little sad but somehow still cute. glad you and yours are good.

oh sorry, i try and use mono most of the time but some effects sound some much better when applied to a stereo sample.
insert funny comment here.

Charles De Gaulle had this classic quote that I can't remember but it's pretty similar to your post which I would agree with

yeah the evening news is filled with Australia´s Smokey the bear and it´s very tragic to see that over half the fires were human made...I mean how sick is that...burning down your own ground??

Been talking to Drew alot over PM since I´m too stupid to make a blank pattern  ....never even thought about it till now...hell yeah ur living in down under and very glad that you and your family is ok.

P.S. and yeah I use Mono for samples on the 404 cause it don´t allow stereo
