hm. i had a DR-series drum machine for about 24 hours. i donno if it was the 670 or not, but the one i used had pre-built mute groups, so you could only mute / change what Boss allowed you to. and it really was not-so-intuitive. every time i tried to do something, i found my idea compromised by limitations of the box.

so i returned it and got a Zoom drum machine, which was cheaper, looked worse, and was far more ridiculous, but infinitely better and i still have it.

so i don't know if that helps at all. 75 aint much, so maybe its worth it to you?

Look at it from a different perspective. First off it's only 75$, second you will get lots of new drum sounds. Unless you already got most of those sounds, I probably would buy it. You can sell later, with a profit if the sequencing turns out to be annoying.

I'd grab one if someone offered me one for 75$.

edit: It's basically the same kind of deal I got on the MC-505. The price was just too low not to want it for the sounds alone. Turns out it's a great machine, so I do not have to regret anything. It has been a win win situation.
