Damn, how slow can time move when dope sounds are sitting on your computer at work and not on your box! I'd like to get home now please.
Doc prescribed tear drops, hopped on a hip phenomenon; now my eyes are never glazed... I'm a hip hop Iguanadon.

Hey! I sent my beat to some friends and they said that it's not loud enough.
I used only phones to hear it and it sounded ok, so do you think is not lout enough?

It could be a little louder, but I thought it was fine on the levels. How did you record it?

Euclid: I connected the rca outs from the SP404 in the mic in of an old laptop and used Audacity as a recorder to capture the sound and covert to mp3.
I have a good soundcard in my desktop pc, but the pc died last week.

CamiloM, just turn up your SP while it's hooked into your computer until the input monitor level peaks a little and then back down the SP level by small increments until it's the input level isn't peaking and you should be good.

This is the way I did, but I think the kick is louder than the other samples so if I raise the level the monitor starts to peak. Maybe I will low the level of the kick and record the track again.
Thanks for the advice.

I hear you man, it can be tricky doing all the mixing in one little sampler that only has a 1-track sequencer.

fatleader wrote: hmmmm...... what are the exact rules??? where can i find them? thanks
the rules are under a sticky called "the rules" - which are here:
viewtopic.php?t=764
it's basically: this sample only, sp-XXX sampler only (like, don't chop on a pc then import, etc), battles are for learning, not winning.
record out to something, and then upload it. but read thru the sticky and stay on target fatleader.

I record my track again with different level. I think I lost a little bit of the kick but the track is more equal now.
Here is the new link:

I changed the link of the original post too.
