Definitely, just make sure pattern mode is selected and then press the rec button and then press the button that you sequence is on and it will go back into record mode so that you can delete or add samples to what is already there. For more info check the S.P.I. section of the forum and download a manual for a for explanation.

woord, you can go back a million times and change it, just cause it doesn't flash when you hit record doesn't mean you can't select it

Thanks for the quick replies! I figured you could modify patterns, or else it'd be a worthless machine. More questions to come! Peace

only thing you can't do is take away bars once they are recorded, i think. You can add bars though.

You can remove bars and add them, at least in the 303 you can. I imagine it's the same for the 404 but I don't have one.

Im pretty sure you cant remove bars after you recorded your pattern on 404. Even if they are "blank"

Damn, you'd think they would keep that feature for the 404. On the 303 I can make like an 8 bar pattern then reduce it to 4 and then I can make it 8 bars again and the machine remembers how all the samples were placed on the full 8 bar pattern.

wow man, that is extremely helpful, i would use it all the time just for the sake of hearing the smaller loop, then put it back up, i gotta get a 303 to couple up with my 404
