normalising samples / raising volume ?

Is there an easy way to raise the volume of samples without changing them? (comp,dist . . .) You know after resampling and filtering I often loose volume on samples and I hate it to export them to the computer, normalize, save rarara . . . Can I do it in the machine ? (404)

lower the volume of all the other samples.

Sadly there isn't.

but that's how all the producers do it, nomatter if they are on the mpc, asr, sp, emax...

Sseems like I've to live with that ?!

(I'm no faultfinder but on the mpc I can "normalise" samples... :roll:

Anyway... it's not really that worse, just a lil sophisticated.)

the sp can amplify. Just use mfx limiter with eq or isolater.

there is a way. Use the isolator and boost all three frequencies evenly. This wont change the sound at all since each knob covers an entire frequency range. But its always best to record your samples as loud as possible because recording samples because ne time u boost a low level u got more unwanted noise.

Record all your samples so the level is peaking a little, then just mix the levels so there is some separation in sound for all the parts then you should be golden.

be careful lowering the samples to match the lowest one, it can really fuck you up if you play live and then some of the samples or beats are real quiet compared to others... id say like frantic record them in loud as can be

Another oldie. Does the mfx limiter prevent the sound from digitally clipping? If so this would be awsome, cause you could use it like a normalizer when using the isolator trick to up a sample's volume. In other words, you'd know how loud you could raise it to.
