here is the resample sound quality test. the samples come from vinyl. the first part is a drum snippet and second part is a sample snippet. Each snippet you hear was recorded after being resampled 11 times in mono at hifi sample grade.

resample sound quality test

yo Juxt, thanks for the effort man.
As I hear, the big amount of resampling process makes the sample sound a little less loud, but the overall quality doesnt get worse much.
//juxt, here is a mp3 version of what you've done, it loads up little bit faster

once more thanks for this, I cant say I wasnt curious about it

thanks for putting it in mp3 man. yeah i didnt really notice a difference in quality and that second sample was resampled about 130 times. I think i accidently hit the volume button while doing the second sample, which is why the the volume suddenly decreases on the samples. other than that i think its a pretty accurate test.
Hey honestly I can't listen to your recordings right now, but I'm plannin on getting an the 404 and this is of great interest to me. We seriously need more people doin real, like 'scientific-type (objective), tests like this. I'm so tired of people saying "oh yea [unit 'x'] has better quality audio" or "[effect 'x'] sounds exactly like this or that] with only their personal perceptions to back it up. Don't get me wrong; impressions by people in the know is always great. I just wish there was more of what you've done here. Also, maybe a null test would be useful? (although that sucks about the volume change...)
