well i got on of those duel tape casstte recorder thing ma bobers....and i want some help lol...some tips on making some ill souding shit...make it dirtier? cleaner? or anything tips lol...also how should i record onto a tape....

I'm a cassette dude, and although I don't bang whole tracks down to tape these days (I'm a multitracker) I do record INDIVIDUAL tracks out to tape that I think are too clean, & then record them back in (to ProTools), line the track back up with the original , then delete the original- make sense?
I find this great for snare drums that are too mid-rangey & new sounding.
Plus you have another sound generator to sample from- you often find cassettes for free on the street or for MAD cheap at used shops- sampling off tape is choice!
