TAP TEMPO

Is there a way to tap tempo while playing a sample? I'm interested in controlling the tempo of sample while playing live with other musicians- that way the sample can be slave to whatever tempo the band is playing at an instance

You can't change the tempo of the actual sample very well. I'm assuming you're talking about the 404. You can change the BPM setting of the box, but it's not like it speeds up or slows down the speed the sample plays at.

man it seems like a lot of people are looking for a bpm or metronome on the sample function. well at least a couple of people latley.

yeah the only way change the tempo of the sample is to use CTRL 1 while sample is playing....it seems so intuitive though to simply tap the tempo of the sample if you wanted to. thanks for the replies!

oh yeah... i have the sp 555, not the 404
