if you live near a CVS store they have the lexar compact flash 1gb cards on sale for 9.99 i have been seriously peeping then waiting for this sale for almost two months and now im sharing the information with all you lovely people.... get out to as many CVS's as you can... i bought 4 cards today!

I've recently also bought some Lexars :)
I cannot say a bad word about em.

Yeah, Ive bought also 4 of them cuz the price was really goood.
About 6 dollars per one 256mb card :D

i have a few of em. they work fine except for 1 of em, occasionally it acts funny and deletes all my isht

Since my old sandisk got fucked up and I lost all my external banks full of cool samples, Im tryin to make roland folder backups on my pc every 2-3 days when Im intensively workin with sp :)

i have one old lexar 256mb that only works if i insert it once the machine is already on... but other than that lexar rules - now get to CVS! haha

i don't know if all cvs's are the same way, but i hardly ever go there because there is always like 30 people in line, and never ever more than 1 (slow-ass) person behind the counter. but once in a while they got 12 packs of pbr for like 3 bucks, which is worth the wait. thanks again dude!

ooh, and when working exporting $ample$ from the 'Bank' do you get the samples as it is marked or the whole thing like you gotta trunacate them?

Yep, you must truncate them before exporting if you want to have a "marked" form of them.

hey guys, first time poster. ordering my SP404 tomorrow, and happened upon this forum, thanx! went down to the corner CVS and cleaned them out of CF cards, bought 4 for $40. excellent thread.
