Im from the north of England...Its still popular .. My mum goes to northen soul nights.....some good music gets played. Although Im sure alot of people dont even know why its called northen soul...nice bit of British cuture there!

Oh yeah been meaning to ask.....anyone on here hip to British hiphop?

do it. i know very little but like what i know (roots manuva, FBC Fabric and Reindeer, even the streets every so often). would love to explore more, especially stuff that pulls on the brixton sound from a few years back.

if your talkin about grime then yea i listen to a little of it. i'm big into chipmunk n kano. there flows r tight, especially when u consider the pace that some of there music is at, it would run circles around some american mc's
