winter namm 2009

Post by axiom gates »

I'm making this thread so the forums don't get flooded with talks of all this new stuff, so here's the links I have so far. Everyone feel free to add on to this as everything has not been announced yet :D Also lets try to keep the posts to stuff thats been confirmed, not items that are vaporware. Once you post if u have links to add try to edit your posts instead of posting new ones.

Live8 is absolutely ridiculous... I had no desire to part with the cash, but it looks like I'll have to. The fact that it'll have max working within it makes for some really insane shit. The Akai controller for triggering too.

Akai sniffed another way to make dollars by creating dedicated ableton controller :D
Not bad idea though, I wonder how cool will it be.

Ax, thanks for this info!

no prob homies. i was most impressed this namm show with the NI Maschine, and the Roland AX-Synth. Other then that it kind of felt like business as usual.

That Akai APC definitely looks like they put some more thought into it than some of their other new products, like the MPC5k or MPD32.

Ableton 8? BETTER than Ableton 7? Gimme! Now!

If I get some cash, fuck getting an MPC (what I was thinking) Live 8 and that APC would be fucking killer.

Check out this as well. finally a more serious video:
http://www.sonicstate.com/news/2009/01/ ... t-machine/

Seems the Beat thang is quite the SP606 meets MPC1000 meets EMU sampler competitor.
