Yeah, hXc, I forgot to comment on those.

I def like what MOTU & Native got planned there. Seems like Roland will need to step up if they want to keep up if these three brands do come with quality gear.

Ha yeah no shit. Oh well, it's looking like NAMM is gonna be a bust. I may as well go back to saving for an MPC.

Is it the only software with a headphone jack?
That ish reminds me of when a porno company has a movie and on the box they have a look-alike big star with a name like Jessika Alba- you almost want to sue them for false advertising.

Looks like the Beat Thang is the remaining stand alone

if an MPC is a Playstation, and an MV is a Nintendo 64, then ThA BeAt ThAnG ain't nothin but an Atari Jaguar. Lots of flashing lights and no game.

I wouldn't write off Beat Thang so fast until data starts to pour in.
They won't win any awards for advertising or grammar, but if the specs match up with reality & the thing is built quality it could be bloody great.
Can't tell for sure, but it looks like the pitch & mod wheels are on the sides of the machine-if so, that's an excellent design idea! And I always thought the pad layout on the ASR-X was great (it's one keyboard octave- duh) complete with the notes listed on the pads- almost makes too much sense.
& the lit pad thing is something that Roland spearheaded & even Linn seems to be implementing into the 2. I think it's great if you have a complex pattern going you can 'see' what pads are activating when as the sequence plays & it does help a little if you're rocking it in a dark club.
~ my 2 cents (make that 3)

The two card slots appear to be on the back of the machine.

I don't care if that's true that's an epic simile. Lovin it.

On that other thread did they really list one of its benefits as screw holes so you could wear it on a chain?
