I know it's a real sampler, but more than likely some rich ass D-Boy is trying to launder money for himself and other dealers by starting a company. They shoulda just pulled a Jay-Z and go to work for a company that already knows how to launder money properly and keep up a some what reputable appearance.
this is a strange machine

That thing looks like total crap, there's a reason Akai and Roland have held it down so long, they make pretty good products. The Beat Kang or Thang or whatever the fuck they call looks like Fischer Price "My First Sampler" edition.

as been stated, the name is tragic and if the quality falls close to their Streetboxx (also tragically named) then its garbage.
Wait, Akai "stole" their idea for XR-20, because the Streetboxx is nothing like Akai's XR-10 (a pretty under-rated lofi drum machine). no, not at all.
reading the specs, there's nothing really innovative here.

the youtube video reminds me of those cell phones all blinged out with lights and shit.. they flash all over when you get a call...
the way its worded it COMES with a rechargeable battery.. prolly like a remote control car battery... or a product specific one.. youre chained to the company for cordless power...
at least they have the hop up kits for turning your drum machine into a lowrider..

I got a hunch this Beat Thang is going to be a disaster if it's going to be over 500$ and turns out to be mediocre.
If they're truly going after Akai, then a MPC500 like price would make most sense to me.

They sound pretty cool. If you can load and play VST/VSTI then the game just got stepped the fuck up.
EDIT: Looks like the Beat Thang (no way could anyone ever take that name seriously) just got blew outta the water. Those 2 are gonna kill that bullshit. Roland and Akai best bring their A games at NAMM. NI and MOTU ain't fuckin around.

@ColeRockLee
the two knobs on the "thang" look like tittie nipples..., still waiting for a live demo vid for this... the motu BPM looks real nice, it even has an sp mode that emulates an SP-1200.. sick...
