Just want something to trigger samples

I am starting a semi-ridiculous band called "Brock Samson" and I need to be able to trigger sound clips from various movies and cartoons before, after, and during songs in a live setting. Any control interface would work because any of the guitarists/bassist, the drummer, or the vocalist would be available to be the trigger man.

I am in need of a device that's only function is to trigger custom samples of up to 30secs in length and output to a PA. I don't need any effects or sequencing. I am looking into the 303 but I was hoping there was something cheaper out there. If there isn't anything available, I may look into using a Nintendo DS with a 4gig SDHC card and homebrew software.

I'm waiting for the LinnDrum II but my neighbor is working on it with Roger Linn and they are always revamping the design and feature set. Einstein was right about time being relative :lol:
