Post by shmedy »

my borther is looking at getting one. he wants a sampler but has no money.
1. so it doesnt look like it has a pattern mode, is this tru.
2. are banks a and b internal. is there samples already stuck on there like the a bank of other samplers? (in other words how many pads are available without a card?)
thanks for the help

there's no sequencer, so no patterns, no.

there are two internal banks of eight pads each, and you can delete the files on there and add yr own (w/ a card, you get two more, 8-pad, banks).

Not that the 202 ain't a nice piece of gear, but even if it effectively means having to save some more money for a longer time, I would not advise one to your brother.

Despite the 202 being mad cheap, he's probably better off with a 303 or rather a 404 if he wants any kind of sequencing capabilities on the sampler as well.
