problems loading samples

what program are you guys or gals usin to convert the wav files into 16-bit depths and 44.1khz? i'm tryin to use adobe audition 3 and i put the card in the 404 and try to load them up and it said Uns. i know what that means but other then adobe audtion i dont have no other converting program. so i'm just tryin to find one that works.

well I use CoolEdit 2000 to do that...a very easy to use program, does´nt cost too much, I think about 69,-€

EDIT: when you convert, don´t forget to put them on MONO
