Thx for the info Drewzle. Grungy is my preference. I like making synths sound like guitars.

Nice setup blast. I almost had a 500 for $80 like 2 days ago, but I didn't have enough money. How is it?

I kno bro. I can probably still get it... but these kids are kinda whack. They didn't use it for like a year, and then they want to sell it for 80. So I got 40 to put down on it, and then homeboy's brother wants to raise the price to 150. I seen him yesterday and now he's says he's trying to make music with it. Meh...

Hahaah, damn 80$ is a steal. I'd probably sell the MPC500 for about 250$ and get a used 404. :P

yup, that's the one
it's a great synth for lots of purposes...i actually don't use the bass synth at all, i mainly tweak some of the noise voices and program long release pad-style synths...it's got a harsh edge to it's tone, but can be softened for more ambient stuff

the cords running through each box are MIDI cords...to keep everything locked to the Master Clock (coming from the first QY)
audio-wise, everything is going into the mixer, except the first QY which is routed through the SP (so i can use the SP's effects)

it probably looks trickier than it is
