100 MB to 250 MB "DRIVE TOO BUSY" BUG??

Post by djesoph »

Hi! I've changed my original 100 MB panasonic zip drive, to a iomega Z250 drive bought on Ebay.

I've played my last beat on 100 mb disk. Sometimes, with REALTIME EVENTS, where the 100 mb drive didn't say "drive too busy", now the 250 drive does, and they're not difficult and nearby events.

Can it be a 250 bug in reading speed?
Or it can be my used drive that can have problems because of its condition?

Did someone have the same "bug"?

thanks!!

Could be that the 250 mb zip drive doesnt like old 100mb disks. Ive heard that there are problems with backwards compatibility. I suggest getting some 250mb zips and torture testing them against a 100mb zip (loading up the same sample on the two zips and copying it to all the pads until it coughs is the simplest way to do this seeing as actually copying a zip is a loooong process)
just a thought.

250 and 100 mb zips are NOT interchangeable.
