it´s working, but quite irretating that the sp still fires sounds, if the volume is turned on!

It should be possible to use a different channel to avoid this. Other work around if I recall correctly is to empty the A and B bank of samples and you should have no problems.

the trick is this. banks g-j transmit one channel higher than the other pads. Save those pads for your midi notes and use the others for samples.

Hi Schopper,

The MIDI signal in SP-555 pads are fixed. You cannot assign particular/individual MIDI to the pads as you wish. Very very very frustrating.

Hey Franctic which miserable dream/Driver upgraded the MIDI issue in SP-555?

Still then...SP-555 is alive and kicking on the stage.

none...I didnt say u could adjust notes. But the midi channel on the 2nd set of banks is one channel higher than all the other pads. And you change the midi channel the 555 transmits/recieves from. The 555 is not meant to be a master external sequencer for a bunch but it has some very basic capabilities that can make it work as one if you using it with an extra piece or 2 for some extra sounds.

I probably should have elaborated more on the original post though. If your 555 is set to channel 1 for example that means banks g-j are sending midi on channel 2. So if you set your s2000 to receive midi on channel 2 then banks A-F wont send any midi note data to the s2000 but banks g-j will.

the s2000 is a sampler which supports keygroups:

you can selected pads to trigger midi notes wherever you want on the sp555. but you have to take care that the s2000's keyranges are strictly adjusted to the selected padnumbers, so it won't play together with others.
