is it possible to delete exp. samples from the card without using the pc?
I expect a simple "no" but I just wanted to clear this once and for all...

i would imagine youre talking about taking them all the way off the card... not just deleting them out of the bank you put them in... and i would also imagine a simple reformat is more or too aggressive for what you need it for.. youre trying to make room on the card keeping what you want and getting rid of what you dont want to free up valuable space??

other than a whipe i have no clue if you can do that although im betting no..

So I guess there is no way to delete the exported samples from the card without using the computer...?! Damn...
Formating isn't good cause, I still want to use the samples + patterns...
Just want to delete that exported shit NOT the samples that are stored in the banks...

Chapter 6 page 40 of the manual describes how to delete unwanted back up data on you card using the machine. I think that's what you wanted to do.

thanx doc but, that's the way I can delete backed up samples and/or patterns (cancel+bankc-j). But I can't figure out how to get off the samples (wav files) that are saved in the roots folder of the card...
come on... you know what I mean...

Actually I don't, I never use my memory card to load samples since I do everything through the RCA's. Sorry

what if you delete the sound and save blank air (or any other sample for that manner) to the pad it used to be on and the save it to the card? will it replace the other file w/ the same name and overwrite it?
