Yes you can apply any effect to the mic/line input. Just remeber that the 404 can only use one effect at a time, unless you resample/sample a sound with an fect. This box might seem limited in its different functions but once you get a full grasp of those, it is your own imagination that will be the limit.

gahhh already have a problem question within minutes of putting my CF card in..... so i formatted it and put in 13 sounds in the main folder ... not BK UP or Sp404.... i put it into the 404 and followed the manual instructions on how to import audio files ... and it showed EMP which means there are no files there ... but i made sure there were files there... help ? xD

make sure the samples are 16 bit 44khz Wav files.

Alright got it all working now .....

what would be a good way in organizing my files ?.....would AA , AB , AC , etc.... work.... as in the first letter represents the BANK and the 2nd letter represents the pad :O...

I would use letters for the banks and numbers for the pads, so like; A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 A8 A9 A10 A11 A12. But maybe I'm not understanding the question the way you phrased it.

I thought that if you renamed the front of the file into A10, A11, A12 it'll add them in a different order ? or does your way work when the samples are imported ?

If you label a sample A_01.WAV it will load to pad 1 of Bank and so on.

alright !... i've created my first little pattern... with 2 measures... now how do i export this ? :O the manual doesn't tell you how :O only how to export the single sample.

^ 404 can't export patterns as audio
you'll have to record the pattern into something else (4-track, computer, etc)
