got my 404 yesterday!!

Post by 6G »

i couldve got a 303 instead but when i checked for the add again the day after i first saw it, it was gone. i got sad but good thing i saw the add for the 404!! got it off of craigslist, scratched up but its ok, i wanna put an autobot sticker on it somewhere. im still tryin to figure out how to work it, so far i just sampled a short beat i like n tweaked the sound so it sounds like an old school sample and got the bass line of the track and thats it. im still tryin to work on adjusting the start n stop points.

Use the mark button to make the initial loop and the use the start/end/level button and the cntrl knobs to make fine tuned adjustments. Drop a post if you have any questions and welcome the the forum. :D

Welcome to the Forums! You will want to learn how to copy patterns and samples once you have grasped the basic samples editing and pattern building. Good luck pushing those buttons and turning the dials.

Don't feel guilty MPC are great machines to make music with, but you'll miss your little Roland box sooner or later. You should just face it and save a little extra to have both and then sync them in midi. So you do drum patterns on the MPC and trigger instrument samples from the SP.
