i was just checking out Roland site and they got this deal on 404 and 555's.

from 11/1/08 to 1/31/09.... it looks like there trying to get rid of the left over 404 and 555's. making room for something else? (hope) ummmm someone might have already saw this, but i am thinking something special is going down for the sp's. i guess y'all can start the rumors....

i hope its a 444

usb
mono trigger option
maybe some kind of different option/s of chopping
real time stretch
pitch shifting that is good

what if its a sp keyboard, like a 25 key and some pads....
price will go up
but if not, i hope its small like the 303/404.

i guess i want it to be a lil ASR 10 but with the simpleness/easiness of a sp...

wishful thinking

yea that offer has been on there page for a while. as far as a new sp coming down the pipe we would probably know something by winter namm 09 in January. if they don't announce anything there i doubt they'll wait till summer namm for a new product launch. this topic has been brought up many times. i like your wishful thinking on new features though, definitely some ideas i haven't heard before

Well the 404 was called the X0X in Japan because 404 translate to something bad. So an SP-666 would kinda be the same thing in the US as the 404 was in Japan. I want an SP-3.14 since I like math and circles/loops.

They're doing the same with a lot of other gear, lowering prices. I don't think it has to do with new gear for all of them.

Of course, I'd love to be surprised with a new MV or SP. I would not buy a new MV just yet, but I'd definitely look into a cheap but awesome new SP.

They're most likely just recognizing how bad the economy is, it's better to make your money back or receive a small profit rather than hold product.

that would be dope if they made a sp 123

with super soft pads like the ms 1.

grid sequencer, resample sequencer, run on batteries.

but be very simple with minimal control's . and it would be cool if it was small
and cheap. but a super small cheap all in one mega beat makin machine.

haha.
