Pretty cool, Jel is awesome. That had to be hella work. Video editing is a bitch, but the results can be rewarding.

See him with SP-303 and MPC in action.

i watch those ALL the time at work...

the under the bridge shots at the beginning and the on the other bridge shots were all set up on tripod and shot with a mix of fingerpushing when cars came and setting my camera to shoot on its own every 30 seconds with my exposure preference... my camera will turn its self off and back on and take a photo and go back to sleep till i tell it to stop... kinda creepy... the in my jeep shots were on the every 30 seconds thing with my tripod lashed to my passenger seat while driving to and from my parents house.. the longer middle sequence (where you cant see the dashboard) was taken all by pressing the button every chance i could while the camera was lashed to the "oh shit handle" in my girlfriends jeep... the whole thing was shot over about 5 hours.. and took like 2 or 3 editing.. it was around 600 frames which isnt a lot considering most movies are shot at like 30 frames a second.. keep in mind this isnt video these were shot on nicer still frame digital photograph cameras.. the images were spliced together into makeshift film and edited from there... weeeee

i enjoyed that. Time lapse footage from stills, good shit. I especially like the initial frames... it was interesting seeing the light pass with the camera locked down.

I was trying to think of what the light streaks reminds me of. AKIRAAAAA!!!! So freakin cool.
Strapping the camera in for a car ride was a nice idea. Sounds like some pretty impressive cameras too. I look forward to seeing more.

I made a really shitty vid in a similar manner, just fucked up pics from the net and my webcam.

PS: Do you have a photo blog or something?

naw no photo blog i use photobucket.. but its not really set up in a way that says portfolio in any way..

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v454/oneblushu/
there is a crap load on there... i share that one with my lady..

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/1003/tomfoolery/
this one is all random OLD stuff

i guess im getting old enough to where i need a portfolio site..

i did take a web class this semester.. i made a website.. its got cool animations but they run really slow the first time through.. so if you look at this be patient and watch look at it two times.. the animations are regular speed the second time you watch...i did it without flash and supposivly it would have been a ton easier in flash (if i knew it) and def would have loaded faster... there are three desks and 3 to 4 things to roll over on each desk... sarcasm and typos included on each desk.. this is the first website i have ever built

Yo, Jel is really a master at live drumming, I love watching those vids where he jams in his bedroom or kitchen or whatever.

Nice video you did there. I think it's pretty awesome how the blending of the 'car streams' fits the tunes of the song, good work man!

Here's one where he perform's 'the kill tone' with label mate Odd Nosdam:

Very nice work, Jel actually plays around here pretty often. He is fresh with a an mpc and some chops, it's really impressive to see live.

I want him to come to Europe :) He and Nosdam opened for The Notwist in the US but sadly they don't share the euro leg of the tour. As if that wasn't enough The Notwist had to cancel their dates and delay the tour to february, I was bout to see em tomorrow :x

But back to Jel, he was playing a couple of dates in Germany two years ago or so but unfortunately not in Hamburg, God knows when I'll have the chane to catch him live...
