Aranging your samples in sp-606

Hey people
i might ask a stupid question, but i always keep my samples in sp-606 in some sort of disorder, which destrous all creative workfloe when i wanna record anything--i have to search through lots of samples in my sp-606

so how do You arrange samples in sp-606: naming, do You have a separate bank for drums, synth sounds and so on
Would be nice to hear any advice

I don't have a 606, but I find that I put my drum samples and instrument chops on the same banks which helps my workflow. I like to know exactly where my sounds are every time that I hit a certain pad, no matter what kinda samples I decide to use.

the way I have mine set up is all my drum hits or chops are on pad banks 1-10. then from 10 through 17 all my drum breaks then after that all my samples or one hits. I know what you mean about going through pad banks, mine are scatterd too. The clip board copy and paste sometimes helps keeping all the samples you use for a song in the same couple of pad banks.
