possible problem?

Post by slimer »

Sup everyone, my 303 just arrived today off ebay and i'm lovin' it so far.

Everything seems to work great but there is a weird little bug(?)

Pads 2 and 6 light up together all the time... even if there is no sample on one of them. The functionality still works fine but them both lighting up at once can be confusing.

Anyone seen this before or any ideas how to fix? I could try updating the firmware...

That's interesting I've never heard of this particular problem, if the samples and everything else still work that's a good sign, but still weird. I would initialize the internal banks by turning on the machine will holding cancel rec and delete buttons at the same time. Then I would get a copy of the 303 O.S. from Roland and install that fresh and see if your problem is solved.
If not come back and let us know what's happening, this is interesting and like I said it's a problem no one has brought up or experienced in this forum yet.

Hey thanks for the quick response.

Just tried both of those, rebooted after the upgrade and still doing the same thing. I'm guessing it's hardware related.. but strange since everything still works right. I guess there isn't much else I can do?

Don't worry my 303 has a life of it's own too. Sometimes it does weird stuff that ends up being better than what I would have done myself. I call it the Dilla ghost
