midi foot controller

I can't seem to get my controller to trigger anything. It's an old Peavey thing.

And I guess you can't trigger patterns via midi? WTF!? :evil:

Ok, so I've figured out that this particular garage sale special foot controller only transmits program change data, so that explains why it won't trigger samples. I've been looking into midi event processors (check out midi solutions. com) to use with my midi guitar and it looks like this has pushed me oves the edge to getting one.

But, what I really really wonder about, is can patterns be triggered through midi at all?

i doubt it
definitely not on the 404
though a 555 user should confirm this, i'm guessing the answer is no

I have tried many times and many ways and dug deep in the manual and found nothing that lets me trigger patterns via midi. Doesnt mean its not possible... I just havent found the way and it probably is impossible :roll:
