Yeah it was nice to see them side by side. I had a 404 early this year but had to sell it. The 303 I have now seemed smaller, now I know for sure. Your video makes me want a 404 to pair up with my 303.

To my ears, yes it does. Maybe a little dirtier. The knobs seem to be tougher too.

my 505 sounded almost like a 303.

but i thrashed the hell out of it for a few years and the knobs glitch, the track buttons stick, maybe cause i spray painted it like 3 times , spilled booze on it a few times, left it in a puddle once, dropped it a bunch, the power cord glitches out sometimes. but yea i left it on for a year once and it still works, not shure where it is though.

My roommate had a 505. Its sound is very very similar to the 303. The 404 does indeed sound different than both.

But the 303 and 505 are still very different machines... the 505 is more visual whereas edits on the 303 are made strictly with the user's ear(s), just like the 404.

I wonder if there is anyone out there that has 3+ SPs that would be willing to do a video like this one (I'm looking at you, Beatjitzu).

Haha, I really like the sound of the little song you did.
Anyways, it sounds great. I like the 404 video you did with the guitar and vocal samples too.
