sp classifieds?

Post by shmedy »

would it be a good idea to have a place to post musical equipment for sale on this forum. or does that already exist? or would it be a bad idea? idk?

people tend to make a Wanted To Sell thread in the applicable forum, which i think works because it is not too frequent. if things were getting ridiculous, maybe we'd need to start an independent area for Buying/Selling/Trade

the thing is, we're from all over the world which makes things a bit harder

i am actually selling my turntable (Numark TTX) at the moment, would people object if i advertised it in the Other Gear forum?

hopefully some Melbourne folk will see it

Sounds ok to me. We seem to have a sizeable Oz contingent here so maybe you'll be lucky. You switching brands? I thought the TTX was near the top of the Numark line...

i'm moving to the UK next year, i'd love to take the TTX but it'd be expensive and might get broken. i'll be taking all my other gear though
i figure i'll sell it now and get that cash fluid, put it towards the move

i might post a sale thread later on....

ooops - by sale thread i meant for the one item i want to sell

a general sale thread probably wouldn't work 'cos you'd have to constantly check what's being sold, 'cos the thread title wouldn't be specific

i'm on another forum where that ^^ works, tho. i just check it when it has new posts, see what stuffs people are selling. the advantage is that it becomes ONE long thread, instead of a section.

if that makes sense.

i'm good with or without a classifieds thing, personally.
