Ya'll are killing with the giant sample packs. My connection is shitty, really shitty. Not only slow but very unreliable. The connection will drop before I can download this. Zshare don't support resuming downloads so it'll never complete. An endless cycle of starting the download, it dropping, then restarting. I'm sure the samples are the shit, Wax you definitely got good taste but I'm pretty much forced to sit it out this time.

i'm kinda with hema on this. i just don't like using sample packs on the battles. for me it's too much to work with in a short time. but the song is fresh. just that woulda been enuff for me. imo

I have no problem having too many drums...I mean, just use a kick and a snare and a hi hat if you want? don't see the harm...it's def. quicker than chopping up a break right? I dunno....also yall should all be able to go to a library or a coffee shop with a thumb drive and get the samples? that's a hassle I"m sure, and that sucks, but until someone comes better than wax, that's what we have right  ...whatever..devils advocate here I suppose

Quick question, I know I've been a ghost in the arena for a while so maybe I missed this, when did we start using an entire kit? We started with just one track, then we expanded to a track and a break to chop... did I miss a meeting? I've been gone since my interface got jacked but I'm back on a computer with audio in and I wanted to throw down... Shit just feels odd to me. If you can use a whole kit it doesn't seem as challenging. Of course this might all have been covered months ago, I haven't been following. At the least the posted rules should make some attempt at reflecting reality so if there was a change let me know and I'll edit them.

i remember there was a discussion which resulted in a "let the winner decide" sort of regime, so it could be single track, track+break or track+drum hits
though i'm pretty sure you were party to that conversation, ig9
maybe i'm confused

i don't have a prob with the sample pack route, though i do prefer a tasty break.
my problem at the moment is study  but i finish my final exams (ever!) next week and after that consider me active once more in The Arena...this is a warning

yeah man, I see what your saying. in my opinion you are given too much in the battles nowadays. I liked when you were just given a track with no open drum hits and had to figure out a way to get drums or make a track without em. But I'm cool with drumbreaks/hits

So what do you guys want?! I can save that file as a mp3 and re-up-it.
For the drums I've to say I was to lazy to pick some single hits so I decided to upload all of em. I simply hate it when everybody uses the same drum sounds... Drums are the key to a good beat imao...

No break this time cause you might get hurt again; I don't want that.... 8) So do you need the sample as a mp3?
Seems like everything I'm gonna do is wrong right now... TOO much effort; TOO many drum-samples... I just don't get it... :?

That's not cool! I re-up a mp3 and let's say some of the best drum hits for you... How many MB can you handle?!?! *the drums would be about 10MB at the best compression rate. Does that work for you?!

A different solution would be using an email account... if he needs a Google mail account, I can invite him. Big file transfers are way easy that way ánd it supports resuming too.
