Avatar Problems

I was trying to update my profile with a new avatar, but i keep getting this error code...
Debug mode Unable to upload file

I tryed uploading from URL and from my computer. I don't know if this is an issue, it just never to me happened before so I figured I'd address it.

yeah, i've had something similar where i cannot "add an attachment" to any posts, even though i've triple checked formats and stuff against guidelines.

is there anyfing wrong w/ the site's code for images?

i see other peeps throwing things up....if i was trying to put up an image called "maude1" here's the error:

Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/maude1_214.jpg.
Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/maude1_214.jpg.

any thoughts?

I don't know.... but apparently whatever the problem was, it fixed it self? Kinda weird.

We ran out of webspace

. I've deleted some unused files so we should we good for a while.

Ahh so that's why the website was offline for a few minutes/hours?

I didn't know it was offline. I'm not on the forums that often, just now and then to check if everything is going alright. But yeah, if the server runs out of disk space the forum won't function properly anymore.

I cleaned up some of my websites that were wasting space (they are on the same server) so we should be okay for a while. However, if anything happens to the site (e.g. serious downtime) don't hesitate to contact me at marc AT sp-forums DOT com

Okey Keesj, I'll remember that.

It might have been issues related to my own internet connection though, don't really know how long I was unable to visit the forums. I really only tried twice and then the next day it was fine again.

Good looking out Keesj. I'll let you know if I come across anything else, but other then that one problem I had with my avatar, I haven't had any other issues at all.

you mean the file size... hmm... I think just shrink your pic until you got it under 10 KB.. Maybe there is a way to save a pic in lofi or sth. :roll:
