went to use my 404, turned it on and it forced me to format my cf card. i had been using the card for about 4 months with no problem. I have no idea why it would make me format the card, causing me to lose everything. can anyone help me out?
Dude if it's formatted there's nothing you can do. Does sound like A) an issue with the card Fking up or B) the card reader in your 404 is Fking up or C) shit happens... with electronics especially. Back up you card to your computer regularly. Sux ass that you lost all your stuff.
yeah man, i have unreliable cards that occasionally make me format them again and delete my stuff. I usually use those cards for live jamming and messing around shit.
I'd say If the sp-404 forces you to format then you better turn of the box back up the contents of your card and then try again. If the 404 asks you to format then at least you still have a backup.
