resampling whole pattern?

Post by szmul »

this question was probably asked a hundred times already, but i didn't find it in one of the 303-posts (or i probably just missed it), so i'll ask again...

is it possible to resample a complete pattern (meaning the whole groove you put together from individual samples onto one pad)? (on a 303)

i get the idea of resampling multiple pads at the same time, i would like to be able to "record" a whole pattern (in the 303) so that i can trigger my finished grooves/beats like any other sample.

thanks for the help...

peace

Hey hey,

From what I know, it isn't possible to resample a pattern.

With the little experience I have, I think your options are either to record your pattern to tape, your computer or anything that can record, and then sample from that recording.

What I "usually" do though, which gives a little swing to things, is use the resample function and then play the pads. It's hard to hit the timing perfectly but I guess you can pull it off through trial and error.

I hope this helps...

ok, thanks for your help. that's pretty much what i thought so myself.

i know what you mean with playing the beat "live" while resampling, i don't mind a loose beat, but the stuff i'm working on is to complex to be played live in one take. i guess i'll just have to record the beat on my computer and then re-record it back into the 303...
