myspace' major label deal.

Post by HomeMadeInstrumentals »

has this been discussed? Myspace strikes a promotion deal the 4 major labels....leaving the independants (which is really 80% of myspace music) out in the cold.

The promotion deal thing sounds awkward though.

By the way, there have always been 3 groups of Myspace users... Independent artists, Major artists and Unsigned artists. So it's not like it really matters all that much. There are forums or other websites that earn money when you click certain links also... it's just how these websites make money out of free stuff.

I hope Myspace won't get swallowed by the record labels, but apart from that, who gives?

I love how the journalist that wrote the article cherrypicked a few comments that create opposition to the guy in the article.

He's doing the right hting by staying on standby till he knows the score.

Also, I agree - fuck maor labels getting profits from ANY music! what a load of wank!

I never liked myspace much anyway.... I have no music up there as it is.
