my 404 is haunted .

yo my 404 has a ghost, either that or theres some funky bugs in the new OS.

At first we didnt get along very well, now hes playing tricks on me .

3 main things that only happened one time each so far.

1. I recorded something into the sequencer, then kept working , then all a sudden the last thing i recorded wasnt there . ?

2. i made a sick 4 bar drum loop and sampled it to tape and slowed it down a bit, then sampled it back into the 404. i slapped it on the squencer and let it loop once, it was off by a beat, so i let it loop again, still off by a beat. let it loop again. WTF. it fixed itself and it looped perfect without adjusting the tempo or start point i was like word . !!

3. Last night i left my sampler looping of a beat i just made resampled back into a pad. fell asleep, and when i woke up my memory card had no sounds on it ? so i checked remainign time then formatted the card and it gave me more minutes so something was in there i just couldnt acess it.

however on the third one i was so stoned and falling asleep i kind of remember trying to export a pad of a mixed down beat, maybe i accidently DAL. but that doesnt explain the missing minutes .



anyway i reformatted everything internal and card . so maybe its no big deal .

All 303/404's have some kind of gremlins from time to time. I would recommend what you have already done to remedy it. Good Luck

I would re-install the OS. Sometimes u install the OS and it doesnt go in just right. #2 is because when u slowed it down the tempo changed.

but it fixed itself, thats what creeped me out
