Changing Patterns via ext. midi

Post by Yoodooright »

Is it possible to change the SP404 Patterns during a song with an external sequencer rather than doing it manually?

I'd like to do this with a Korg Electribe EM-1, hopefully recording these Pattern changes onto the Electribe as part of a song.

If it is possible, how do i set the 2 up to do this?

Thanks,
YDR

I don't think you can - it's only pads from midi notes & tempo sync that work over midi.

YooDooRight - is that a Can reference?

Jim's right. You can't change em externally.

Huge shame... was hoping to sequence the pattern changes from my electribe and free up some much needed hands!

Jim - your absolutely right... Can are my no.1 band of all time and Holger Czukay my spiritual sound splicing hero of sorts. A fan?

Yes, very much into Can, have been a long time. Some of their grooves could loop for weeks and I don't think I'd get sick of them!
