if its the promethazine/codeine mixture,

cant go wrong whether the promethazine does anythin or not

codeine is wicked stuff. .

have never tried promethazine though so not sure how it will alter/add to the experience.

I heard all that shit does is just like slow down time to the extreme, and make you completely out of it. Get a real drug, like acid, so you'll be on a nice interesting meaningful trip instead of just being a spaz.

Life is what you make it. . and so are all drug experiences!

Just cause youre taking acid, doesn't automatically mean it will be meaningful . Likewise, just because alot of people use opiates as a form of escapism, doesn't mean you can't gain something from them.

I think it has more to do with the intent of the person than the drug they're taking..

I've taken acid many many times, and I've been a codeine addict for a part of my life too. Both of these experiences I view as valuable and meaningful - in terms of the development of my creativity, my personality, my worldview.

True, but acid (shrooms also) in my experience are fun and have made for some of the best drug experiences in my life, but then again I've never had a bad trip. My friend told me that syrup is just nasty, no grasp on reality. You might as well just get drunk, it's easier and sounds more normal than "I've just been drinking cough syrup to get high". But still, I stick to ganja mainly, it's all you need.

um..

stay away from opiates dude. They are extremely addictive. Yes, codeine is considered the least addictive of all the opiates but still... in the wrong hands opiates can be fatal. Not to mention the fact that it causes erectile dysfunction.

Not to sound like an old man, but I've done my fair share of substances, and let me tell you, after being on medication for the past 8 years because I abused drugs like ecstasy, acid and mushrooms, I am at liberty to say stay away from chemicals. There's always someone who will say "stick to natural substances" but then again you can always bring up the argument that cocaine and heroin are in their purest forms "natural".

stick to herb and the occasional sip of bourbon.
